Health & Safety Committee

Effective September, 1997, Article 15, Section 2 of the Unit A Contract called for the establishment of Health & Safety Committees in each school “to help identify, troubleshoot, and prevent unhealthy or potentially hazardous conditions within school facilities.” Section 2 also established the composition of every Health & Safety Committee, charged them with the communication of concerns to the School Committee, Superintendent, Permanent Public Building Committee and others. The expectation was that every Health & Safety Committee would determine its own meeting schedule.

Our 1st. Health & Safety meeting will be on Friday, September 30th at 8:00am in the Media Center.

The membership consists of Chair: Greg Bayse

Parent Representatives: Irene Francesconi, Anne Hayek
Public Facilities: Chip Laffey

The meetings are chaired by Greg Bayse. You are invited to submit any discussion item to Greg (email: so that it may be placed on the meeting agenda. Notes will be taken at every meeting and a written summary will be placed on a Health & Safety link on Our School page.
